The 9 Laws Of PTSD Recovery

The 9 Laws Of PTSD Recovery

I have distilled the principles of how to make a full recovery from PTSD into 9 laws.

9 laws that, if implemented, will change the course of your life forever.

They will not only guide you to a life free of PTSD, but fuel you to unimaginable heights.

These are the 9 principles that I personally used to make a full recovery, and they are what I teach clients in my Broken To Unbreakable PTSD recovery program.

These laws will give you the most important thing I can offer…

A shift in your beliefs, and the way you think.

Because everything in life stems from your mind.

If we can change your mindset we can change your entire world.

Your mindset is the first of 3 pillars to a full PTSD recovery.

It is the foundation you build to support you through the inevitable ups and downs of healing.

Like I said there are the 3 pillars, and they’re the only 3 things you need to make a full recovery…

Here are the 3 pillars:

  1. Master Your Mindset
  2. A Process To Consistently Heal
  3. A Process To Eliminate Symptoms Permanently

Today we’re focusing on the first and most important pillar, mastering your mindset.

These 9 laws of PTSD recovery will act as a guidepost throughout your journey.

They will help you when you’re confused.

Direct you when you feel directionless.

And give you hope when you’re hopeless.

Make sure to pay attention, and grab a pencil and something to write on.

This information took me years of pain, and has been tested and proven on hundreds of people around the world.

So, focus up and get started…

The 9 Laws Of PTSD Recovery

Here are the 9 Laws that will catapult you to full recovery…

1 – Focus On You

PTSD effects every single area of your life, and it’s easy to get caught up in all the exterior “problems”.

We try to lose weight, get a better job, fix our relationship…

And no matter how hard you try nothing seems to get better.

Because this is the wrong thing to do.

You need to fix you first.

In order to be the best family member, business person, community member, etc…You need to fix yourself.

You need to focus all your energy on your healing, and into making you the best person you can possibly be.

When you focus on you, you’re able to bring the best version of yourself into every situation.

You’re able to be the best husband/wife, father/mother, and help people on the highest level.

Helping and focusing on you is the most selfless thing you can do.

Start to focus on you, and everything will begin to shift and improve.

2 – Believe You Can Win

You’re entire recovery hinges on your belief that a life without PTSD is possible.

Your thoughts create your beliefs, and your beliefs rule your world.

Beliefs dictate why you do or don’t do everything in life.

So, if you don’t believe in full recovery…

Then how much time are you going to put into recovering?

And if you don’t believe a life without PTSD is possible..

Then how much time and effort are you going to put it?

Not much.

It’s likely that if you don’t believe in yourself and your recovery you will give up altogether.

And when you give up, you lose.

3 – Eliminate Your Ego

Ego is why so many people suffer for a lifetime.

They cannot humble themselves are realize that they’ve made a mistake.

They believe (there’s the word believe again) they are weak if they need help, or if they admit they’re hurt or in pain.

The ego inside of you is one of the biggest barriers to overcome.

This is why so many people suffer in silence…

They hope and they pray that their pain will go away on its own because their ego is too strong.

Embarrassment and the inability to accept help causes them to rot in pain for the rest of their lives.

Admit when you’re wrong.

Admit when you need help.

Do this and you’ll find solutions.

Don’t do this and you’ll find pain.

Constantly look to eliminate your ego, and lose yourself.

4 – Love And Accept Who You Are

Developing a healthy loving and accepting relationship with yourself is essential.

It goes hand in hand with eliminating your ego.

You are able to release your attachment to your ego when you are able to love and accept yourself.

Evenmore, if you’re constantly beating yourself up for every little “mistake”, or everything you do “wrong” you’ll go nowhere.

When you hate yourself, and don’t bring yourself compassion, you just keep perpetuating the downward spiral of pain in your life.

Learn to forgive yourself, love yourself, and accept yourself for who you are right this second.

Your life depends on it.

5 – Eradicate Your Inner Victim

The victim never wins.

Excuses, blaming, complaining, and quitting are the 4 battlecries of the victim.

These are the ultimate ways to give up control over your life.

Want outside forces to dictate where you go in life?

Then do these 4 things.

You give all your power away when you make excuses, blame, complain, or quit.

And it’s not that victims don’t have power…

They just willingly give it away.

The victim creates the ideal environment to create and achieve absolutely nothing.

Never allow yourself to be the victim.

When you stop victimizing yourself, and start taking responsibility, you unlock and tap into the unlimited inner power that we all have inside of us.

6 – Have A Bias For Action

Action is the only thing that generates results.

Learning is essential, however learning alone will bring you nowhere.

Become a master implementer with everything you learn.

Whenever you learn something new, ask yourself how you can apply it to your life.

This is what will change your life.

Reading these 9 laws of PTSD recovery will not change your life…unless you ask yourself how you can apply them to your life.

If you never take any action you will never see any results.

Action breeds motivation and generates momentum.

Take consistent action and you will build your momentum into an unstoppable force.

Never do nothing, never fall into apathy, and always take action.

7 – Control Your Inputs

This is one of the greatest laws of life.

You are the sum of your inputs.

Your inputs derive your outputs in life.

If you input negative people, news, games, etc…

You get a negative mindset, and a negative life.

If you constantly read about how PTSD is impossible to overcome…

Then PTSD will be impossible for you to overcome.

If your house is filled with TV’s, alcohol, and junk food…

Then it’s much more likely that you’ll binge all three of those things.

You’re at the mercy of your environment.

This means that you must intentionally design it to achieve your goals.

Design your life for success in every area.

8 – Think Consistency and Long-Term

There are no overnight successes.

You will not heal PTSD in a day.

It takes time, commitment, and long-term thinking.

You must work at it day after day after day, and never give up.

Most people think in terms of short term relief.

They do this by coping, numbing, and running from their pain.

And they never actually heal the core of all their problems…

Most people give up before they see any results.

Since they give up they have a 100% chance of never recovering.

Healing takes time.

Think long-term.

The only way you’ll fail is if you quit.

Never give up, and you’re guaranteed to win.

9 – Obsess With Growth

Who you are right now is NOT the person who you’ll be when you recover.

You have to transform into a new you.

You have to design a new you that can withstand the hardships to come…a new you that will win.

You will have to lose your current self, your current mindset, your current habits, and create an entirely new identity.

Most people dread change…I love it.

Change means that I’m growing, expanding, and reaching towards my full potential.

Be obsessed with your growth in your life, put more and more attention on how you can improve.

When I say obsess…I mean it.

If you actually do this, you will be the happiest and most fulfilled you’ve ever been.

Change or lose.

The decision is yours.
