Thinking about taking PTSD medication and wondering whether or not the risk worth the reward?
That’s a great question, and it’s important to know what PTSD medication will and won’t do for you.
Now, I’m going to preface with this…
I’m not a doctor, just sharing results I’ve seen while coaching thousands of people through the recovery process.
I personally had PTSD for over 15 years and fully recovered naturally without the use of PTSD medication.
I’m not saying everyone has to do it the way I did it.
I just want to share my knowledge on PTSD medication from hands on experience working with people from all around the world.
Again, my words are not meant to be used as medical advice, I am not a doctor, at the end of the day you have to use your best judgement and it’s your decision whether or not you want to take the medication.
Because the truth is that PTSD medication may be necessary for some people, and not for others.
Many people look at PTSD medication as a “cure all”…
They believe that popping a pill will make their flashbacks, nightmares, and anxiety go away forever.
Now, it’s true that medication can help, but it’s not the full equation.
It’s not as easy as “take this magic pill and your PTSD will be cured!”
That’s just not the reality of the situation.
Can PTSD medication help some people?
Yes.
But, is PTSD medication a “cure-all”?
Absolutely not.
If you’re looking into, or already taking PTSD medication, it’s vital for you to know what it can and can’t do for you.
This one lesson could save you years of pain, confusion, and suffering…
PTSD medication can…
The truth is that PTSD medication seem to have quite a bit of upside to them.
In some cases it can totally turn things around for people who are terminally hopeless.
So, there are tons of benefits to medication, but it’s even more important to know what medication won’t do for you…
PTSD medication won’t…
When you’re in that dark dark place and are looking for a shred of peace and relaxation, medication might be able to give that to you.
For some it seems like a godsend…
They believe that medication is the answer to their recovery…
And yes, for some it helps, but I’ve never met anyone who made a full recovery on PTSD medication alone.
PTSD medication just masks the pain.
The pain is still underneath it all…just waiting to come out when the medication wears off.
I personally never wanted to take medication to heal my PTSD, because I knew that it was just a band-aid on a broken leg.
It masks pain, pushes it aside, only for it to come back with a vengeance when it wears off.
Many people do become dependent on their medication.
They take pill after pill because that’s the only thing they know
It gives them temporary relief from the unbearable agony inside.
And again, I’m not saying that medication is always bad, it can be the thing that allows some to hold on.
But, many people who take PTSD medication feel stuck…
They want their pain to end so they take a pill, and it goes away for a while…
Deep down they know that the medication won’t fix things, but it makes them feel good enough to keep moving.
They have no answer to heal the darkness inside of them and the only solution seems to be to pop another pill…it’s the only thing that they know how to do.
It’s no one’s fault, everyone is doing their very best to end their pain.
Medication can help, but it can’t heal.
PTSD medication is never the final solution.
It may help some along their journey, but much deeper work and processing needs to be done in order to fully recover.
I’ve worked with people who have been on every PTSD drug known to man.
They’ve gone to doctor after doctor looking for solutions and kept getting false promises that this new cocktail of medications would save them from their pain.
But, everytime they were disappointed.
I work with people like this everyday make transformations that they believed were impossible.
The truth is that no matter how hopeless you feel, how many medications you’ve taken, or how many types of therapy you’ve tried and failed with…
You can heal and live a normal life again.
Like I said in the beginning, I personally had PTSD for 17 years myself.
Nightmares and flashbacks were terrorizing 93% of my days…
I couldn’t function, and the only time I would get sleep would be from when I passed out from sheer exhaustion.
But, I was able to discover a way to heal naturally without PTSD medication.
Curious about how I did it?
For some PTSD medication can be a lifesaver.
However, there’s not a single medication out there that allows you to fully recover from PTSD.
So…how do you do it then?
How can you make a full recovery from PTSD?
These were the exact questions I used to ask myself…
It took me years of painful trial and error, and tens of thousands of dollars to find the path.
I went to therapist after therapist and tried everything known to man…
And after years of effort a sense clarity washed over me.
With information from all these different sources I was able to discover a process.
A process that I used to make my full recovery…
Later I showed this process to others and I discovered something incredible…
This process doesn’t just work on me, it’s worked on hundreds of others too…
